The Strategic Cycle for Nonprofits

From Vision to Action:

If you work well? there always comes a time when an organization realizes it is making a difference and sees its impact go from hoped for to tangible. This result comes from diligent and thoughtful The Strategic Cycle  work? rarely from pure luck? although this can also play a role. However? the gap between what you want to achieve and the actions introduced is often too wide? with the risk of wasting energy? resources and sometimes credibility.

To avoid this? a structured approach is essential. Based on what is found in books and online? I tried to translate into an application model the process that allows you to transform the purpose into a feasible and measurable strategy? ensuring continuity between thought and action. A model that I apply thanks to the most common tool that we fundraisers are used to looking at: the cycle.

The non-profit strategic cycle

The cycle is based on an iterative process? that is? a procedure japan phone number library in which the result is achieve through the repetition of a series of operations? allowing to adapt to changes in the context. It consists of four key phases:

1. Defining Purpose: Why do we exist and where do we want to go?
It all starts with clarity of mission and values? which how will we get there must be share? inspiring and aligned with the real needs of the community or cause you intend to support. Three fundamental elements guide this phase:

Vision : What is the future we want to build?

Values : What principles guide our choices and actions?
